FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL & MORE FOOTBALL

Holden is the kicker for his team
This is Holden flying in for a tackle.
It's hard to tell, but this is Holden's diving catch for 2 points.

Easton making a tackle.

I know that I have a lot more pics of Holden than Easton, but that is because Easton's games are so much more intense and stressful to watch that I forget to take pictures. They tied against Box Elder 6-6 after double overtime. Holden's games have been pretty relaxing. They won 36-6 against Ben Lomond. I love watching these boys play ball. They have the best coaches that are so great with these boys. Ted & Jon Nessen coach Easton's team and Troy Fonnesbeck is the coach for Holden's team. GOOD JOB BOYS!!!!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

I can't believe that school is back in session. While part of me is grateful (my food bill will be smaller and my house will stay cleaner) I also have a hard time with the fact that time is flying by so fast. Easton is in 7th grade so he is the oldest at the Intermediate School. Holden is in 4th grade and so far he told me that this is the best year ever. He was elected Govenor for his class yesterday so that topped things off. Kinley will start preschool next week. She is dying for her school to start. I hope that this is the best year ever for them.

1st Games of the Year

Holden getting a sack.
Holden's 2 point conversion

We had to split for the games this week because the boys played at the exact same time, so next week I will have pictures of Easton playing also. We are 1 and 1 at the Richards House. Holden's team had a great game against Plain City winning 30-0. Holden had a couple of sacks, many tackles, stripped the ball and caught a pass for a 2 point conversion. All in all he had a great game. Easton's team didn't fair so well. They lost their game 29-6. Easton did have a sack though. Their team was missing 4 kids who were in Cooperstown, NY playing a baseball game instead. It really hurt our team. We were left with only 14 kids to play the game. Who knows if the outcome would have been different had they been here, but it would have been interesting to see. Hopefully next Saturday will bring 2 wins.

Well onto a crazy week at work with the last week of registration at the school, along with the fair and everything that goes along with that. Only 8 days until school starts. I think the boys are as excited to go back to school as I am for them to go back. Kinley will be starting preschool this fall. I think she is mostly excited to wear her new clothes.

Fall Is In The Air

And I don't mean the weather. Tis the season for FOOTBALL!!!! This truly has to be my favorite time of the year. I love that Easton, Holden & Ted get a football high every Saturday. Even Kinley knows that Saturdays are "Game Days". Ted loves coaching Easton's team. The only stress (besides hoping they'll win) is trying to get to both games. You have to love this sport to run and sometimes puke your guts out at practice and keep coming back for more. Good luck boys and GO BEARS!!!!!

New Pics

Anyone who knows us knows that I am a freak about taking our kids pictures. I love taking them new places and taking pics. It's our way to document our kids changing and growing and I love it. Here are a couple of new pics of the kids. If you notice, Kinley got her ears pierced last week. I've been asking her for the past year or so if she would like to get them pierced, but she kept saying no. Ted said it had to be her idea and decision. Last week while we were school shopping she told me that today was the day. They had to be pierced to go to pre-school this fall. Well as soon as she told me that, I took her right away to get them done. For the past week she keeps wanting her hair either in a ponytail or up in some fashion so that everyonce can see her new earrings. I think she looks so grown up.
